In Good Leaders Ask Great Questions, John C. Maxwell delves into the process of becoming a successful leader by examining how questions can be used to advantage. What are the questions leaders should ask themselves? What questions should they ask members of their team? He then responds to the toughest problems leaders have presented to him.

Using social media, Maxwell offered the floor to followers with unanswered questions about what it takes to achieve their professional best, and selected seventy questions on the most popular topics, including:

  • How can I discover my unique purpose as a leader?
  • What is the most effective daily habit that any leader should develop?
  • How do you motivate an unmotivated person?
  • How would you work with a difficult leader who has no vision?

This book is a thorough, insightful response to those readers and anyone who feels they have plateaued on their journey to develop their ultimate potential. Every leader has room to grow, and the advice in these pages will help readers assess their current position, and structure an effective plan to achieve their goals.

I ordered this as an audio book. I have listened to the book over 5 times already. It's amazing as it will change the way you think. This book is more than questions, its about building great character and the right attitude. \r

I attended the #LearnLead simulcast where John Maxwell was promoting his latest book. I purchased it from the event on Friday. I read the first 200 pages Friday night and finished it Saturday afternoon. I earmarked about a dozen pages that I wanted to re-read. The first half of the book or so talks about the why behind the title. I found this to be the most fascinating part. The later half of the book answers some great questions that were asked. While I found them to be great questions and answers I feel it wasn't in line with the title of the book. I was expecting more of the "why you need to ask great questions, and how you can better your questions. All in all for around $20 you get some great insight from a great leader. The same $20 at the movies will have you feeling empty.
